Vancouver Fire Radius Security’s 87.12 Kilowatt (KW) commercial solar array was installed to offset electricity usage for their warehouse and office, significantly reducing their BC Hydro bill. This large-scale solar installation also takes advantage of BC Hydro's new commercial rebates and the 30% Solar Tax Credit, making it more affordable than ever for businesses to transition to clean, renewable energy.

• Brand & Model: Unirac Equilibrium Ecofoot+ flat-roof self-ballasted ballast tray system with 28 penetrations for seismic stability.

• Key Features: The Ecofoot+ system minimizes roof penetrations, providing a secure and reliable mounting solution that meets seismic requirements for commercial installations.

Soladeck Roof Electrical Junction Boxes:

• Quantity: 4 used for safe, efficient electrical connections.

Monitoring & Warranties:

• Integrated Web Monitoring & Smartphone Application: Real-time monitoring ensures the system's performance can be tracked at any time, providing data on energy savings and production.

• Warranties:

  • 25 years on solar panels

  • 12 years on inverters

  • 25 years on optimizers

BC Hydro Net Metering

The system is qualified for BC Hydro’s Net Metering Program, which allows Vancouver Fire Radius Security to receive 10 cents per kWh for excess solar energy sent back to the grid, further lowering their electricity costs and contributing to BC's clean energy goals.

BC Hydro Commercial Rebate Program

The 87.12 KW commercial solar array benefits from BC Hydro’s new Commercial Solar and Battery Storage Rebates, which provide significant financial incentives for businesses to install solar power systems. Rebates ranging from $50,000 to $150,000 are available to help offset the upfront costs, making solar energy a smart, cost-effective solution for Vancouver-based businesses.

30% Solar Tax Credit

In addition to BC Hydro's rebates, Vancouver Fire Radius Security is also eligible for the 30% Solar Tax Credit.
